ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Optically active compounds of formula: Image wherein R is selected from the group consisting of hydroxy, (C1-4) alkoxy, aralkoxy, oxypropylsulfonic acid and salts thereof, primary amino, mono (C1-4) alkyl amino, di (C1-4) alkylamino, and hydroxyamino groups and X is selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine atoms. These compounds have interesting pharmaceutical properties including analgesic, antipyretic, antiphlogistic, antipruritic, fibrinolitic and normolipidemic activities. Methods for preparing the optically active com- pounds are described.
