An nxm optical matrix switch has two linear arrays of lenses serving as input/output ports. The switch is a non-blocking switch wherein the optical path length between any of the n input ports and any of the m output ports is the same. This is achieved by having the lenses disposed in two parallel linear arrays. Mirrors or reflectors are disposed at intersecting locations of the two arrays as is typical in nxm optical matrix switches.
