ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An optical-mechanical component is provided for deflecting an incident beam in two different directions. The component comprises a wheel provided with a plurality of triple-reflecting mirror means disposed around the circumference of the wheel. The angle of incidence of adjacent mirror means is offset by 180°. When an optical beam enters along the center of the path of the mirror means and the wheel is rotated about its center axis, two reflected beams having a 50% : 50% time division emerge.
