An optical card including a first flat support having a perimetral edge corresponding to the standardized rectangular shape of the card and a second flat support coupled with the first support in an irremovable manner and having a perimeter outline at least partly internal to the perimetral edge and adapted to form centering reliefs to properly orient the optical card in an optical data reading unit. A process for manufacturing the card is also provided which includes the step of preparing the first and second flat supports having the required shape, providing an optical memory region on at least one of the first and second flat supports, and coupling the first and second flat supports to each other in an irremovable manner. 13
