A method and system (10) are disclosed for sorting textiles (14). A plurality of textiles (14) to be sorted each has a portion that includes an electromagnetic radiation emitting and amplifying material. The textiles (14) are illuminated with a laser (20). A narrow band laser-like emission of at least one wavelength from the portion having the radiation emitting and amplifying material occurs in response to the laser (20) illumination. The textiles (14) are sorted based on the detected laser-like emission. The radiation emitting and amplifying material can comprise at least one stitched-in thread (32) comprising a substrate material and the electromagnetic radiation emitting and amplifying material in combination with scatterers, or a patch containing the electromagnetic radiation emitting and amplifying material and the scatterers.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système (10) permettant de trier les textiles (14). Chaque textile (14) faisant partie d'une pluralité de textiles à trier comporte une partie renfermant un matériau qui émet et amplifie les rayonnements électromagnétiques. Les textiles (14) sont illuminés par un laser (20). Une émission de type laser à bande étroite d'au moins une longueur d'onde, provenant de la partie renfermant le matériau qui émet et amplifie les rayonnements, se produit en réponse à l'illumination laser (20). Les textiles (14) sont triés sur la base de l'émission de type laser détectée. Le matériau qui émet et amplifie les rayonnements peut être constitué d'au moins un fil cousu (32) contenant un matériau substrat et ledit matériau associés à des éléments diffuseurs, ou bien d'une pièce contenant ledit matériau associé aux éléments diffuseurs.
