ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An optical modulation system is disclosed, which comprises an electro-optic modulator for modulating a laser beam according to a modulation signal, a photo- electric transducing means for transducing the output light of the electro-optic modulator into an electrical signal, a control circuit capable of switching of the polarity of a voltage applied to the modulator, an oscillator for supplying a reference oscillation signal to the control circuit, and a phase synchronizing detector for synchronously detecting the output signal of the photo-electric transducing means.
