ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to the field of connectors for optical monofibres with two cylindrical end fittings. It proposes to ensure the mutual align- ment and concentricity of the end fittings by inserting them into a common sleeve having contact jaws arranged at 120° intervals and joined by longitudinal U-shaped sections made from an elastic material. Thus, this sleeve ensures a good angular and axial alignment of the two end fittings. The applications are more particularly to the field of optical monofibre lines for data transmission by modulating an optical frequency with a very small wavelength.
