An optical radiation sensor device for detecting radiation in a radiation field having a thickness. A preferred embodiment of the device includes a radiation source and a radiation sensor element positioned to receive radiation from the radiation source. A motor (or other motive means) is provided to alter the thickness of the radiation field from a first thickness to a second thickness. The sensor element is capable of detecting and responding to incident radiation from radiation source at the first thickness and at the second thickness. The optical radiation sensor device allows for determination of radiation (preferably ultraviolet radiation) transmittance of a fluid of interest.
L'invention concerne une dispositif de détecteur de rayonnement optique permettant de détecter le rayonnement dans un champ de rayonnement possédant une certaine épaisseur. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré, ce dispositif comprend une source de rayonnement et un détecteur de rayonnement placé de façon à recevoir le rayonnement provenant de la source de rayonnement. Un moteur (ou un autre moyen moteur) permet de modifier l'épaisseur du champ de rayonnement d'une première épaisseur à une seconde épaisseur. Le détecteur et conçu pour détecter et répondre à un rayonnement incident provenant de la source de rayonnement dans les conditions de la première épaisseur ainsi que de la seconde épaisseur. Ce dispositif de détecteur de rayonnement optique permet de déterminer le facteur de transmission du rayonnement (de préférence du rayonnement ultraviolet) dans un fluide.
