An optical recording medium in which Sn is used for the recording material and the jitter is improved. The medium comprises a substrate (11) having projections/recesses for dividing a track area on its surface. Over the area where the projections/recess are formed, at least a first protective layer (31) for protecting an optical recording layer, an optical recording layer (12) formed on the first protective layer and containing a compound of tin (Sn), nitrogen (N), and oxygen (O), a second protective layer (32) formed on the optical recording layer and protecting the optical recording layer, and a light transmitting layer (13) formed on the second protective layer. The first and second protective layers (31, 32) serve to stabilize the optical recording layer (12) at high temperatures and at high humidities.

L'invention porte sur un support optique d'enregistrement dont le matériau d'enregistrement est du Sn, et dont la gigue est améliorée. Ledit support comporte un substrat (11) présentant des saillants et des rentrants divisant une zone de piste sur sa surface. Sur la zone où sont formés les saillants et les rentrants, on dispose dans l'ordre au moins: une première couche protectrice (31) de la couche d'enregistrement optique; puis une couche d'enregistrement optique (12) contenant un composé de Sn, N, et O; puis une deuxième couche protectrice (32) de la couche d'enregistrement optique; puis une couche transparente (13) à la lumière. La première couche protectrice et la deuxième (31, 32) servant à stabiliser la couche d'enregistrement optique (12) aux températures et niveaux d'humidité élevés.
