An object of the invention is to provide an optical recording medium and an optical information device that enable to improve the quality of a servo signal and a reproduction signal. In the case where shape-wise thicknesses tr1, tr2, tr3, and tr4 of a cover layer (42), a first intermediate layer (43), a second intermediate layer (44), and a third intermediate layer (45) are respectively converted into thicknesses t1, t2, t3, and t4 of the respective corresponding layers each having a predetermined refractive index "no", a defocus amount with respect to a layer having a refractive index nr.alpha. and a thickness tr.alpha. (satisfying:1~.alpha.~n(where .alpha. is a positive integer and n is an integer of 4 or more)), and a defocus amount with respect to a layer having the refractive index "no" and a thickness t .alpha. (satisfying: 1~.alpha.~n(where .alpha. is a positive integer and n is an integer of 4 or more)) are equal to each other; and the thicknesses t1, t2, t3, and t4 satisfy ¦t1-(t2+t3+t4)¦~ 1 µm, a difference between any two values of the thicknesses t1, t2, t3, and t4 is set to 1 µm or more in any case, and ¦(t1+t2)-(t3+t4)¦~ 1 µm.

L'invention concerne un support d'enregistrement optique et un dispositif de données optiques qui permettent d'améliorer la qualité d'un signal d'asservissement et d'un signal de reproduction. Quand les épaisseurs tr1, tr2, tr3, tr4 d'une couche (42) de protection, d'une première couche intermédiaire (43), d'une deuxième couche intermédiaire (44) et d'une troisième couche intermédiaire (45) sont respectivement converties en épaisseurs t1, t2, t3, t4 en présence d'un indice de réfraction prédéterminé "no", une valeur de défocalisation produite dans la couche présentant l'indice de réfraction nra et l'épaisseur tra (1 = a = n (a représentant un nombre entier naturel et n un nombre entier égal ou supérieur à 4)), est égale à la valeur de défocalisation produite dans la couche présentant l'indice de réfraction "no" et l'épaisseur ta (1 = a = n (a représentant un nombre entier naturel et n un nombre entier égal ou supérieur à 4)). De plus, les épaisseurs t1, t2, t3, t4 satisfont la relation suivante: |t1 - (t2 + t3 + t4)| = 1 µm. La différence entre deux valeurs arbitraires des épaisseurs t1, t2, t3, t4 est supérieure ou égale à 1 µm. La relation suivante est en outre satisfaite: |(t1 + t2) - (t3 + t4)| = 1 µm.
