An optical alignment film and a liquid crystal thin film are adjacently formed. These films are irradiated with light. The optical alignment film is aligned, and the viscosity of the liquid crystal thin film is lowered because of the increase of the temperature due to light irradiation. The liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal thin film are aligned similarly to the alignment of the optical alignment film by use of the intermolecular force at the interface between the optical alignment film and the liquid crystal thin film. The alignment of the liquid crystal molecules allows the recorded information to be held. While using this optical alignment film, a sufficiently large amount of signals are realized, and the thermal stability and the stability against light irradiation are ensured.
L'invention porte sur un film d'alignement optique et sur un film mince à cristaux liquides formés côte à côte. Ces film sont irradiés de lumière. Le film d'alignement optique est aligné, et la viscosité du film mince à cristaux liquides est réduite du fait de la hausse de la température imputable à l'irradiation de lumière. Les molécules de cristaux liquides du film mince sont alignées de manière similaire au film d'alignement optique par une force intermoléculaire au niveau de l'interface entre le film d'alignement optique et le film mince à cristaux liquides. L'alignement des molécules de cristaux liquides permet de conserver les informations enregistrées. Lors de l'utilisation de ce film d'alignement optique, un nombre suffisamment important de signaux est généré, assurant ainsi une stabilité thermique et une stabilité à la lumière.
