ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a multiple output scanning probe, the optical elements between the entrance and exit pupils comprise a relatively distortion-free telescope of approximately one power. The telescope includes an image collimating element in which a collimated output image at the exit pupil is divided into a plurality of images by a plurality of imaging systems. Each imaging system receives a portion of the output field, which portion is centred around its own centre of perspective so that this portion provides a true wide angle image of the corresponding portion of the output field.
