The spacing device comprises the lens (1) disposed in a lens holder (2) which is spaced by a cylinder (3) from a screen holder (4) containing a transparent screen (5) at the focal length (F2) of the lens (1) such that the image produced by the lens is focused in the plane of the screen (5). The device has application in the medical and veterinary fields.
