To avoid introducing interferometric noise, limiting switching speed and causing losses, the switch comprises: - n passive couplers (C1 - Cn), each one comprising a number k of outputs (A1 - Ak) and an input (Q) that is capable of receiving an input signal (E1 - En); - k wavelength-division multiplexers (M1 - Mk) comprising n inputs (B1 - Bn) calibrated respectively on n wavelengths (.lambda.1 - .lambda.n). For each multiplexer (Mj), the input (Bi) that is calibrated on one of the said wavelengths (.lambda.i) is coupled through an amplifying optical gate (Gj) to one of the outputs (Aj) from the coupler (Ci) that is provided for receiving an input signal (Ei) carried by that same wavelength (.lambda.i). Application in routing functions in optical link communication networks.

Pour éviter l'introduction de bruit interférométrique, des limitations quant à la rapidité de la commutation et l'introduction de pertes, le commutateur comporte : - n coupleurs passifs (C1-Cn) comprenant chacun un nombre k de sorties (A1-Ak) et une entrée (Q) apte à recevoir un signal d'entrée (E1-En), - k multiplexeurs de longueurs d'onde (M1-Mk) comprenant n entrées (B1-Bn) calées respectivement sur n longueurs d'onde (.lambda.1-.lambda.n). Pour chaque multiplexeur (Mj), celle de ses entrées (Bi) qui est calée sur une desdites longueurs d'onde (.lambda.i) est couplée par l'intermédiaire d'une porte optique amplificatrice (Gj) à une des sorties (Aj) de celui des coupleurs (Ci) prévu pour recevoir un signal d'entrée (Ei) porté par cette même longueur d'onde (.lambda.i). Application pour les fonctions de routage dans les réseaux de communication à liaisons optiques.
