- 36 - ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed herein is an optical tape comprising (a) a substrate which has a thickness of not more than 20 µm, satisfies the following formulae (1) to (3) and comprises a polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate layer, and whose surface on one side has center-line average roughness (RaB) of not more than 0.005 µm, and (b) an optical recording layer produced on the surface having the RaB of not more than 0.005 µm. F5 in longitudinal (machine) direction ? 20 kgf/mm2 (1) Young's modulus in longitudinal (machine) direction ? 600 kgf/mm2 (2) Young's modulus in transverse direction ? 600 kgf/mm2 (3)
