An optical waveguide circuit component comprising a core formed of quartz selectively added with a dope agent on a quartz substrate structure, and a clad layer consisting of quartz provided on the substrate surface, characterized in that a lid or a cover member is fixed onto the clad layer by thermocompression bonding. This structure can limit a polarization-dependency loss (PDL) level that will occur when the clad layer and the lid are bonded together.

L'invention concerne un composant de circuit à guide d'onde optique comprenant un noyau central formé de quartz auquel a été ajouté de manière sélective un agent de dopage sur la structure d'un substrat de quartz, et une couche de revêtement faite de quartz sur la surface du substrat, se caractérisant en ce qu'un couvercle ou élément de recouvrement est fixé sur la couche de revêtement par soudage par thermocompression. Cette structure permet de limiter le niveau de perte par polarisation (PDL) se produisant lorsque la couche de revêtement et le couvercle sont soudés.
