A distributed Bragg reflection pass-band filter in an optical fibre waveguide (170) is provided by grating elements (172) arranged to provide improved flatness of reflection pass-band, a high rate of roll-off, and reduced amplitude side-bands by the use of nonlinear chirp and apodisation profiles that are related such that the square of the coupling coefficient is substantially proportional to the rate of change of chirp.

L'invention concerne un filtre passe-bande à réflecteur de Bragg réparti, destiné à un guide d'ondes (170) à fibres optiques. Le filtre est constitué d'éléments en réseau (172) disposés de façon à donner une bande passante de réflexion plus uniforme, une vitesse de pente de diminution élevée et des bandes latérales d'amplitude réduite. Pour cela, on met en relation des profils de fréquence pulsée et d'apodisation, de façon que le carré du coefficient de couplage soit sensiblement proportionnel à la vitesse du changement de fréquence pulsée.
