In an optical fiber (l0), which has a clad region (l2) around a core region (11), of an optical waveguide grating, periodic refractive index variation occurs in a predetermined range (l3) extending in a direction of the optical axis of the core region (ll), the core region (ll) having composition of, for example, GeO2-P2O5-SiO2, the clad region (l2) comprising SiO2, a co-addition ratio in the core region (ll) being regulated, whereby the temperature dependency of the property thereof is reduced, an amount of addition of P2O5 in the core region (ll) being preferably not less than l/l5 times and not more than l times that of GeO2, and more preferably 0.6-l times that thereof.

Dans une fibre (10) optique d'un réseau de diffraction de guide d'ondes optique, qui comporte une zone de gaine (12) entourant une zone de coeur (11), des variations périodiques de l'indice de réfraction se produisent dans une plage (13) prédéterminée s'étendant dans un sens de l'axe optique de la zone de coeur (11). La zone de coeur (11) présente une composition de, par exemple, GeO¿2?-P¿2?O¿5?-SiO¿2?, et la zone de gaine (12) contient du SiO¿2?; un rapport de co-addition dans la zone de coeur (11) est régulé, ce qui permet de réduire une dépendance thermique des propriétés de cette zone; une quantité d'addition de P¿2?O¿5? dans la zone (11) de coeur est de préférence non inférieure à 1/15 fois, et non supérieure à 1 fois la quantité de GeO¿2?, et idéalement égale à 0,6-1 fois celle-ci.
