A novel, optically active alkenylphosphinic acid ester having chirality on a phosphorus atom; and a simple process for producing the ester. An optically active, hydrogenated phosphinic acid ester is reacted with an acetylene compound in the presence of a catalyst containing a metal in Group 9 or 10 of the Periodic Table to thereby obtain a novel, optically active alkenylphosphinic acid ester which has chirality on a phosphorus atom and is represented by the following general formula [1] and/or [2].

Cette invention concerne un ester d'acide alcénylphosphinique présentant une chiralité sur un atome de phosphore ainsi qu'un procédé d'obtention simple dudit ester. On fait réagir un ester d'acide phosphinique hydrogéné avec un composé acétylénique en présence d'un catalyseur renfermant un métal du groupe 9 ou 10 de la table périodique des éléments pour obtenir un nouvel ester d'acide alcénylphosphinique qui présente une chiralité sur un atome de phosphore et qui est représenté par la formule générale (1) et/ou (2).
