-20- ABSTRACT Summary The present invention concerns optically-active thiazoloisoindolinones of the general formula I and II Image Image I II whereby R signifies a hydrogen atom or a straight- chained or branched, saturated or unsaturated aliphatic radical with 1 - 7 carbon atoms, which can possible be substituted by phenyl or a phenyl ring which can possibly be substituted one or more times by C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy, hydroxyl, trifluoro- methyl, C1-C4-alkylsulphonyl or halogen, n stands for 0, 1 or 2, as well as their pharmacologically compatible salts and teutomers. The subject of the invention are also medi- caments which contain compounds of the formula I or II, as well as their use for the production of medicaments for the treatment of viral or retroviral infections.
