The present invention relates to a lottery playing system whereby lottery players are given an additional player selectable lottery option to play the lottery as part of a group when purchasing their lottery ticket, thus giving each player of the group better odds of winning lottery prizes, while still allowing for players to play their lottery tickets individually by themselves, in the traditional manner. Players selecting the group option combine their lottery ticket numbers together, whereby if there are any winners from amongst the collective lottery ticket numbers "pooled" by that group, the members of that group all collectively share in any winnings associated therewith.
