The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for an opto-mechanical connector (10) and to the connector itself. The invention includes that a fixture (1) is manufactured with straight and parallel grooves (2,3) running on the upper side of the fixture (1) from a first fixture side (1a) to a second fixture side (1b), and which grooves (2,3) are intended partly for optical fibres and partly fo guide pins. A lid (4) is attached above the fixture (1), whereafter optical fibres (8) from, for example, a fibre ribbon cable (6) are introduced into the grooves (2) intended for the fibres from the first fixture side (1a) so that the fibre ends (8) extend out through the second fixture side (1b). Guide pins (9) are furthermore introduced into the grooves (3) intended for the guide pins. The structure obtained (fixture (1), lid (4), fibre end (8) and guide pins (9)) is completely or partially enclosed by a plastic capsule (11).

La présente invention concerne un connecteur opto-mécanique (10) ainsi que son procédé de fabrication. L'invention est que la face supérieure d'une base (1) présente par construction des rainures rectilignes et parallèles (2, 3) s'étendant d'un premier bord (1a) de la base à un second bord (1b) de la base. Ces rainures sont destinées à recevoir pour partie des fibres optiques et pour partie des broches de guidage. Un couvercle (4) fixé au-dessus de la base (1) permet par la suite de placer dans les rainures (2) notamment les fibres optiques (8) d'un câble en nappe de fibres optiques (6). Ces rainures (2) accueillent les fibres qui partent du premier bord (1a) de la base et ressortent par le second bord (1b) de la base. Des broches de guidage sont en outre introduites dans les rainures (3) prévues pour les broches de guidage. La structure réalisée, c'est-à-dire la base (1), le couvercle (4), les extrémités des fibres (8) et les broches de guidage (9), est enfermée en tout ou partie dans une capsule en plastique (11).
