A pharmaceutical preparation for oral acyclovir delivery comprising a stable, hydrophobic emulsion comprising continuous phase of a hydrophobic material selected from the group consisting of a long chain carboxylic acid or ester or alcohol thereof dispersed in an aqueous phase or having a hydrophilic discontinuous phase dispersed in a hydrophobic phase of a long chain carboxylic acid or alcohol thereof. The emulsion with acyclovir is incorporated into a pharmaceutical carrier suitable for oral delivery.

Préparation pharmaceutique destinée à l'administration d'acyclovir par voie orale, comprenant une émulsion hydrophobe stable constituée d'une phase continue d'une matière hydrophobe choisie dans un groupe comprenant un acide carboxylique à longue chaîne ou un ester ou un alcool de cet acide dispersé dans une phase aqueuse; ou d'une phase discontinue hydrophile dispersée dans une phase hydrophobe d'un acide carboxylique à longue chaîne ou d'un alcool de cet acide. On incorpore l'émulsion avec l'acyclovir dans un excipient pharmaceutique conçu pour l'administration par voie orale.
