A B S T R A C T An apparatus for the oral dosing of an animal with a substance which includes a substantially U-shaped conduit adapted to be hooked into the mouth of the animal so that the leading end points in the direction of the animal's throat and the trailing end projects from the side of the animal's mouth, and means for passing the substance via the conduit into the animals mouth. The conduit is attached to a handle which in turn has one end of a rope or the like secured to it, the other end of the rope having a loop tied in it to facilitate handling of the apparatus. The method employing the apparatus comprises the steps of pulling the animal's lips back to expose the side of its mouth and passing the conduit into the animal's mouth behind the back teeth. - 1 -
