Abstract An oral vaccine comprises a complex of antigens and a lipid; the lipid comprising a glycolipid having mannose and/or a phospholipid which is a phosphatidylserine. The oral vaccine is capable of efficiently producing antibodies to the antigens contained therein after it is orally administered to living bodies. Therefore, it is made possible to produce the oral vaccine containing microbial antigens or attenuated microorganisms which could not be absorbed when it is orally given and which could not produce the antibodies to the antigens in the prior art.
