ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Froth flotation process for the concentration of mineral ores using as gangue depressant a mixture of a water-soluble polymer in which the solubilising groups are selected from one or more of hydroxyl, carboxyl and ether groups, and a water-soluble lignosulphonate salt. In certain proportions the mixture is more effective, on an equal weight basis, than the individual components.
