An azeotropic nonflammable liquid composition which has cleaning properties, which is substantially free of a chlorinated hydrocarbon solvent, and which has an ozone depletion factor of no greater than about 0.15 and which comprises the following volatile constituents, each of which has an ozone depletion factor of no greater than about 0.15: (a) a liquid nonflammable fluorinated compound; (b) a low polarity solvent which is capable of dissolving no greater than about 10 % water by volume; and (c) a high polarity solvent which is capable of dissolving at least about 10 % water by volume; and a method for cleaning soil from the surface of an article using such composition, and also such composition having dissolved therein a non-volatile functional material which can be deposited on a surface, for example, as a thin film of lubricant by applying the composition to the surface and effecting evaporation of the volatile constituents of the composition.
La présente invention concerne une composition liquide pyrophobe azéotrope présentant des propriétés nettoyantes, pratiquement exempte de solvant d'hydrocarbure chloré, exprimant un facteur d'appauvrissement de la couche d'ozone ne dépassant pas 0,15 environ, et comprenant des composants volatiles dont le facteur d'appauvrissement de la couche d'ozone de chacun ne dépasse pas 0,15 environ, ces composants étant: (a) un composé fluoré pyrophobe liquide, (b) un solvant à faible polarité pouvant dissoudre environ 10 % d'eau par volume maximum, et enfin, (c) un solvant à forte polarité pouvant dissoudre au moins 10 % d'eau par volume. Cette invention concerne par ailleurs un procédé permettant de nettoyer la surface d'un article d'éventuelles salissures en utilisant cette composition, une composition de ce type renfermant une substance active non volatile dissoute pouvant être déposée sur une surface, comme un film mince de lubrifiant par exemple, en appliquant la composition sur la surface et en procédant à l'évaporation des composants volatils de la composition.
