Abstract of the Disclosure Flameproofed polymeric organic materials, e.g. regenerated cellulose,which include bis-(2-oxo-1,3, 2-dioxaphosphorinanyl) oxides, bis-(2-thiono-1,3,2- dioxaphosphorinanyl) oxides and 2-oxo-1,3,2-dioxa- phosphorinanyl-2'-thiono-1',3',2'-dioxaphosphorinanyl oxides, having at least one substituent on the dioxa- phosphorinane rings, as flameproofing agents, and their production. Some of the flameproofing agents are new compounds and are included in the invention.
