Composés organiques du phosphore, constitués par des hétéro- phosphacycloalcanes dont l'atome de phosphore forme un complexe avec un borane. Ils peuvent être préparés par l'action d'un borane sur un hétéro-phosphacycloalcane, au sein d'un solvant, entre -20° et +60°C. Leur transformation en d'autres dérivés, en particulier en phosphinites ou phosphines peut se faire sans perte de la chiralité du complexe initial. Une application particulièrement utile est leur conversion en phosphines optiquement très actives, employées notamment comme catalyseurs de diverses réactions.
