ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE For use in an electrophotographic copy process, a photoconductive element comprising a support for an organic photoconductive coating comprising a polymerized vinyl carba- zole, 2,4,7-trinitro-9-fluorenone and an aromatic anhydride present in amounts of about 0.49 to 1.23 moles of the tri- nitrofluorenone per monomeric unit of polyvinyl carbazole and 0.05 to 5.0 percent by weight of aromatic anhydride based upon the amount of polyvinyl carbazole.
