Abstract of the Disclosure Disclosed are novel organic pigments adapted partic- ularly for use in paper coatings. The organic pigments are finely divided particles obtained by graft copolymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, such as styrene, and a water-soluble nonionic or anionic prepolymer in aqueous media and in the presence of a free-radical polymerization initiator.
