An organometallic composition comprises a complex of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of titanium, zirconium and hafnium and an acetoacetate ester in which the molar ratio of Ti or Hf to acetoacetate ester is in the range 1:2.5 to 1:10 or the molar ratio of Zr to acetoacetate ester is in the range 1:45 to 1:10 and said acetoacetate ester is an ester of an alcohol containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms. The oganometallic composition is useful in polyisocyanate compositions, particularly those used as binders for lignocellulosic materials and polyisocyanate compositions containing the organometallic compositions of the invention have good stability on storage.
Composition organométallique contenant un complexe d'au moins un métal sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par titane, zirconium et hafnium et un ester d'acétylacétate dans lequel le rapport molaire entre Ti ou Hf et l'ester d'acétylacétate se situe dans une plage de 1:2,5 à 1:10 et le rapport molaire entre Zr et l'ester d'acétylacétate se situe dans une plage de 1:4,5 à 1:10, ledit ester d'acétylacétate étant un ester d'un alcool contenant 1 à 6 atomes de carbone. Cette composition organométallique est utile dans des compositions de polyisocyanate, en particulier, celles qu'on utilise en tant que liants de matériaux lignocellulosiques et les compositions de polyisocyanate contenant ces compositions organométalliques sont stables à la conservation.
