ABSTRACT Organophosphorus compounds of the general formula: Image wherein R represents an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R1 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, or an alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio radical, each such radical containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or the nitro or trifluoromethyl radical, X represents a sulphur or an oxygen atom, and Y represents an oxygen or a sulphur atom, are new compounds which have been found to possess insecticidal and acaricidal properties.
