An organopolysiloxane graft-type polyester is prepared by reacting, in the presence of an effective amount of a hydrosilylation catalyst, a polyester containing at least one alkenyl group and having no unsaturated terminal groups, said polyester having a number average molecular weight of about 500 to about 5,000, and an organopolysiloxane containing one hydrosilyl group. The organopolysiloxane graft-type polyester has excellent compatibility with polyesters and can improve the surface smoothness and hydrophobic property of the polyester when modified therewith.

Polyester d'organopolysiloxane de type greffé, préparé par réaction, en présence d'une quantité efficace d'un catalyseur d'hydrosilylation, d'un polyester renfermant au moins un groupe alcényle, mais dépourvu de groupes terminaux non saturés, et possédant une masse molaire moyenne d'environ 500 à 5000, avec un organopolysiloxane renfermant un groupe hydrosilyle. Le polyester d'organopolysiloxane de type greffé présente une excellente compatibilité avec les polyesters et peut améliorer l'homogénéité de la surface et le caractère hydrophobe du polyester ainsi modifié.
