Organosilicon compounds containing furanyl groups which contain units of the formula AcRaSi(OR1)bO4-a b c (I) in which R is identical or different and is a hydrogen atom or monovalent, SiC- bonded, aliphatically saturated, optionally substituted hydrocarbon radical, which can be interrupted by oxygen atoms, R1 is identical or different and is an optionally substituted hydrocarbon radical having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, which can be interrupted by 1 to 3 oxygen atoms.
