The synergists of this invention possess organothioethyl alcohol segmers or moieties which enhance the antioxidative activity of phenolic and amine stabilizers. The invention is also concerned with compounds that contain an organothioethyl alcohol moiety and their use in oxidizable materials in combination with polymerizable and/or conventional antidegradants.
