The present invention concerns an orientation, navigation and information system, especially adapted for blind or visually impaired people. It is essentially a system that allows blind or visually impaired people to access information usually made available only to public transportation users visually, through posters or informative signs, or through dynamic information screens of various nature. It allows, first of all, the access to information from the outside or within private or public facilities or locations, using a conventional mobile phone (2) equipped with one or more additional communication channels, or a wireless communicator, and in second place, it allows also, simultaneously, the orientation and navigation of the system user(s), through places of interest (20), according to their instructions, using a discreet and non-obstructive system of acoustic emitters (3, 17), and using also a cell system or radio communication network (6) like Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi and/or others, inserted in and related with the places of interest of the user(1). This allows the user to know his (her) accurate localization and can guide his (her) route. The present orientation, navigation and information system can also be used by people without visual impairment, by adapting the system, for example, to display orientation instructions visually.
La présente invention concerne un système dorientation, de navigation et dinformation spécialement adapté aux aveugles ou aux déficients visuels. Il sagit essentiellement dun système permettant aux aveugles ou aux déficients visuels daccéder à des informations qui ne sont habituellement présentées que visuellement aux utilisateurs des transports publics, par des affiches ou des panneaux indicateurs ou par des écrans dynamiques dinformation de diverses natures. Le système permet en premier lieu un accès aux informations depuis lextérieur ou dans des installations ou lieux privés ou publics, à laide dun téléphone mobile (2) conventionnel équipé dun ou de plusieurs canaux de communication supplémentaires, ou dun dispositif de communication sans fil; il permet également, en second lieu et simultanément, lorientation et la navigation du ou des utilisateurs du système, à travers des endroits (20) dintérêt, en fonction de leurs instructions, à laide dun système discret et peu encombrant démetteurs acoustiques (3, 17) et également à laide dun système de cellules ou dun réseau (6) de communication radio comme Bluetooth, Wi-Fi et / ou dautres, inséré dans les endroits dintérêt de lutilisateur (l) et relié à ceux-ci. Cela permet à lutilisateur de connaître sa position précise, et éventuellement dêtre guidé sur son itinéraire. Le présent système dorientation, de navigation et dinformation peut également être utilisé par des personnes non déficientes visuelles, par exemple en adaptant le système de façon à afficher visuellement les instructions dorientation.
