An orifice modifier which can be added to a frozen confection-dispensing outlet (14) and which can impart, ideally without human intervention, a desired shape to the dispensed product. In a preferred embodiment, the orifice modifier is, or includes, a disk (22) which imposes a shape on the dispensing orifice (16) whereby to produce a product with a desirable pattern. In a particularly preferred embodiment, a mechanism is provided (50, 52, 54) for moving the disk (22) or other orifice modifier while the product is being dispensed. It has been found that if the disk (22) is, for example, rotated during dispensing of the product, an especially esthetically pleasing pattern is formed in the emerging ice cream. Such patterns can be captured for the final product by refrigeration.

L'invention porte sur un modificateur d'orifice se montant sur l'orifice de sortie (14) d'un distributeur de crèmes glacées et pouvant conférer au produit, idéalement sans intervention humaine, la forme désirée. Dans une exécution préférée, le modificateur est ou comporte un disque (22) donnant à l'orifice (16) de distribution la forme qui produira le motif désiré. Dans une exécution particulièrement préférée, un mécanisme (50, 52, 54) déplace le disque (22) ou tout autre modificateur d'orifice pendant la distribution. On a remarqué qu'en faisant par exemple tourner le disque (22) pendant la distribution, on créait dans la crème glacée un motif d'une esthétique agréable. De tels motifs peuvent se conserver par réfrigération.
