An ornamental diamond is provided as an extremely bright diamond with numerous reflection patterns when viewed from above its table facet and crown facets. The diamond has the same crown as the round brilliant cut and its pavilion consists of a first pavilion and a second pavilion separated by a horizontal division plane. The second pavilion is an octagonal pyramid and its side faces form second pavilion main facets. The first pavilion is a hexadecagonal frustum with a top face on the horizontal division plane and its side faces form first lower girdle facets. First pavilion main facets extend from the girdle and between the first lower girdle facets, into between the second pavilion main facets. The ornamental diamond having the two-stage pavilion is much more brilliant than and has twice as many reflection patterns as the conventional round brilliant cut.

L'invention concerne un diamant ornemental ayant une culasse à deux degrés. Le diamant ornemental est extrêmement brillant et a de nombreuses formes scintillantes lorsqu'on observe depuis le dessus sa table ou surface bombée. Le diamant ornemental a la même couronne qu'un diamant de forme rond brillant et a une culasse divisée en un premier et un deuxième pavillon selon un plan de segmentation horizontale. Le premier pavillon est une pyramide tronquée à seize faces, sa face supérieure se trouvant sur le plan de segmentation horizontal, et possède des faces latérales représentant les premières facettes inférieures sur le rondiste. Les facettes principales du premier pavillon s'étendent du rondiste jusqu'aux intervalles se trouvant entre les facettes principales du deuxième pavillon et traversent les intervalles entre les premières facettes inférieures sur le rondiste. Le diamant ornemental ayant une culasse à deux degrés est par conséquent bien plus brillant qu'un diamant traditionnel de forme ronde brillant et a deux fois plus de formes scintillantes que celui-ci.
