A pillow (10) has a compliant base (12) and a compliant overlay (14). The overlay (14) is formed with a plurality of compartments (52, 62, 74) each of which contains a filling. The filling and shape of compartment is selected to provide an inflected curved wedge of support, from front to back of the pillow (10).
