A orthopedic/spine bone mill comprising a vessel and a rotatable grinding tool to produce ground autologous and or allograft bone particles for surgical bone reconstruction use, wherein the vessel includes a wall defining a circular cylindrical chamber having a concentric axis. The vessel further includes generally concave or a cup shaped bottom wall which corresponds to the shape of the cutting blade and a lid adapted to be removably connected to the vessel. The lid includes an opening coincident with the axis. The grinding tool includes an elongated shaft extending through the opening in the Jid along the axis with a cutting blade mounted to the shaft within the chamber whereby the cutting blade can be rotated by motive device, such as a drill find in the operating room, engaging the shaft exterior of the vessel to cut bone, placed in the vessel, into said bone particles.
L'invention concerne un broyeur orthopédique et/ou à os de colonne vertébrale, qui comprend un récipient et un outil rotatif de broyage qui produit des particules d'os autologue et/ou d'allogreffe broyées destinées à être utilisées en reconstruction osseuse par chirurgie, le récipient présentant une paroi qui définit une chambre cylindrique circulaire à axe concentrique. Le récipient comprend en outre une paroi de base de forme globalement concave ou en cuvette qui correspond à la forme de la lame de coupe, et un couvercle adapté pour être relié de manière libérable au récipient. Le couvercle comprend une ouverture qui coïncide avec l'axe. L'outil de broyage comprend une tige allongée qui traverse l'ouverture ménagée dans le couvercle suivant l'axe et est doté d'une lame de coupe montée sur la tige à l'intérieur de la chambre, la lame de coupe pouvant être mise en rotation par un dispositif moteur, par exemple une foreuse présente dans la salle d'opération, en engageant la tige à l'extérieur du récipient pour déchiqueter l'os placé dans le récipient en lesdites particules d'os.
