A B S T R A C T An oscillating armature motor (1) for driving electrical equip- ment (diaphragm compressor 11) providing a stator (3) with a solenoid (4) and an armature pivotally mounted on one end with double-arm articulated link (21) serving as coupl- ing link (20) pivotally mounted on one end on the armature (5), and with the other end on a stationary structural com- ponent. Furthermore a stop (31) cooperating with one of the pivotally mounted connecting links (22; 23) is provided by means of which the oscillating/swivel range of the articu- lated link (21) determining the oscillating advance move- ment of the armature (5) can be limited towards the stator (3). By this means the oscillating advance movement of the arma- ture (5) can be easily and precisely be set, adjustment is also possible without difficulty and impacts of the arma- ture (5) on the stator (3) are reliably prevented.
