Abstract This invention relates to games, and more particulary board games involving a plurality of players representing forces in conflict. The game is played primarily on a grid-like playing field. Planets are placed upon this grid, at different locations. For each planet there are card(s) that represents resources that may be found on that planet. Each player starts with one card and places his playing pieces on the planet indicated by the card. A player may obtain additional cards from the deck, or by seizing an opponents planet. Each resource card a player has, that represents a planet he has forces on, will generate additional resources for that player. There are three types of resources, and each resource is beneficial to the player. One resource is used primarily to buy playing pieces, another is used to search for additional resource cards and to move playing pieces from one planet to another. The third resource is used to supply planets, allowing them to further generate resources. Each player has coloured pieces representing units that fight other players pieces, occupy planets, and allow for the transport of playing pieces from one planet to another. Pieces are moved from one planet to another by removing them from the playing board and placing them on a separate grid that will hold the forces until they arrive at their destination. The number of turns the pieces spend on the secondary grid depends on the distance the pieces are intended to travel on the playing board. If the forces of two different players occupy the same planet they will fight with each other until only one player's forces remain. Each player will try to increase the number of resources they collect, while curtailing their opponents. Eventually, one player will grow strong enough to defeat his opponents and seize their starting planets, thereby winning the game.
