In an apparatus for controlling an outboard motor mounted on a stern of a boat and having an internal combustion engine to power a propeller, a drive shaft that connects the engine and the propeller, and a torque converter that is interposed between the engine and the drive shaft and is equipped with a lockup clutch, it is configured to have a planing determiner that determines whether the boat is planning and a clutch ON unit that makes the lockup clutch ON when the boat is determined to be planing. With this, it becomes possible to appropriately make the lockup clutch ON after completing acceleration, thereby improving speed performance.
Sur un dispositif de commande de moteur hors-bord monté sur l'arrière d'une embarcation et muni d'un moteur à combustion interne pour actionner une hélice, un arbre d'entraînement est relié au moteur et à l'hélice; un convertisseur de couple est interposé entre le moteur et l'arbre d'entraînement et est muni d'un embrayage de verrouillage qui est configuré pour comporter un détecteur de planage qui détermine si l'embarcation plane, et un bloc de commande de marche (ON) met en fonction l'embrayage de verrouillage lorsque l'embarcation plane. Ce dispositif permet de mettre en fonction l'embrayage de verrouillage à la fin de la phase d'accélération, ce qui améliore le rendement en vitesse.
