"In a clip for hanging outdoor Christmas lights on an eavestrough, it is known to be of plastic substance that clips onto the eavestrough whereby either the electrical line hangs in the clip, or the socket fits into the orifice of the clip where the bulb is attached to the socket on the underside of the orifice of the clip. In this invention, the clip is made of wire that clips onto the eavestrough, fencing, or any horizontal structure not exceeding 3/4 inch thickness, whereby the socket fits into the orifice of the clip and the bulb attaches to the socket on the underside of the orifice of the clip."
