A wearable absorbent article having features for the containment and absorption of bodily exudates. The article may com-prise an outer cover and an absorbent insert. The outer cover may be formed of durable or semi-durable materials and be launderable. The insert may be disposable. The insert may have containment and ab-sorption features that prevent soiling of the outer cover by the wear-er's exudates, so that the outer cover may be reused after an exudation event and change of inserts. The insert and/or the outer cover may have features to enhance containment, absorption, economy of materi-als and/or fit that make them asymmetric about their respective lateral axes, and may have features that direct a user to install the insert and/ or the outer cover with correct front-rear orientation relative the wear-er. Articles of commerce including packages of outer covers and/or inserts in varying combinations of numbers and features are also de-scribed.
La présente invention concerne un article absorbant de type vestimentaire comportant des éléments permettant la contention et l'absorption d'excrétions anatomiques. L'article comprend une enveloppe extérieure et une garniture absorbante. L'enveloppe extérieure, qui est faite de matériaux durables ou semi-durables, se lave en machine. La garniture est jetable. La garniture comporte des éléments de contention et d'absorption qui empêchent les excrétions anatomiques du porteur de souiller l'enveloppe extérieure, ce qui permet de réutiliser l'enveloppe extérieure après excrétion et remplacement des garnitures. La garniture et/ou l'enveloppe extérieure, qui comportent des éléments améliorant la contention, l'absorption, l'économie de matières et/ou un ajustement les rendant asymétriques par rapport à leurs axes latéraux, comportent des éléments qui indiquent à l'utilisateur la façon de mettre la garniture et/ou l'enveloppe extérieure dans le bon sens devant-derrière par rapport au porteur. L'invention concerne également des articles du commerce comprenant des emballages d'enveloppes extérieures et/ou de garnitures dans diverses combinaisons portant sur les quantités et les caractéristiques.
