ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An outerwear garment article such as a jacket of the generally unconstructed type with improved structural integrity and high wear comfort has two parts made of an adhesive two- ply composite layer; the dorsal interconnection of the front parts consists of interconnected single-ply cloth layer segments. The composite layer is a structure obtained by adhesive melt-bonding techniques using flexible polymeric adhesives, preferably in a multiple-dot distribution A method of producing the novel outerwear garment art- icle by providing two front parts in the form of two-ply cloth composites each having a protruding single-ply segment for dorsal interconnection.
