ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A web winding and cutting apparatus for mounting downstream of the final stage of a web handling machine such as a printing machine includes pressure rollers mounted upon pivoted arms and engageable with the final roller of the machine to draw the web from the final stage, so that a relatively low-torque motor can be employed to drive a core upon which a roll is wound. A movable cutter blade may be associated with pivoted arms carrying joining rollers used for pressing the severed leading end portion of the web onto the core to be wound. - 1 -
