This invention relates to a device for use in an oven. The device comprises a micro controller for operating the oven; an optical scanning means for scanning symbols operatively connected to the micro controller to provide the micro controller with an indication of the symbols scanned; wherein the micro controller is preprogrammed with generic cooking instructions not peculiar to any particular meal located at addresses in the microcontroller associated with different pre-determined symbols scannable by the optical scanning means. The micro controller is responsive to symbols scannable by the optical scanning means associated with the generic cooking instructions not peculiar to any particular meal to operate the oven in accordance therewith.
Dispositif à utiliser dans un four comprenant les éléments suivants : un contrôleur de micro-ordinateur pour faire fonctionner le four; un lecteur optique pour lire les symboles raccordé au contrôleur pour lui transmettre les symboles lus. Le contrôleur est préprogrammé avec des directives de cuisson génériques, non spécifiques à un repas en particulier, situées à des adresses du contrôleur correspondant à différents symboles prédéterminés qui peuvent être lus par le lecteur. Il réagit aux symboles, qui peuvent être lus par le lecteur optique, correspondant aux directives de cuisson génériques, non spécifiques à un repas en particulier, pour faire fonctionner le four.
