ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electric range having a solid glass-ceramic cook- top with a baking oven positioned beneath the cooktop. The oven includes an oven vent near the top of the oven liner. An exhaust duct system is joined to the oven vent to carry the oven exhaust up the back of the range to discharge from the backsplash of the range. The exhaust duct system includes a cooling air entry means for reducing the temperature of the oven exhaust gases and an internal trap to prevent backdrafts of the oven exhaust from leaving through the cooling air entry means.
